O&M Technician – Battery Energy Storage Systems

About the role
Join our Service team and take a hands‑on role in the operation and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within a fast‑growing, international energy environment. You will be the on‑site reference for O&M activities at the Coylton site and support the UK Service Manager on assigned projects.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the on‑site reference for O&M activities on the Coylton BESS.
- Support the UK Service Manager across O&M projects and collaborate with Performance Monitoring, Engineering, and Commissioning teams.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, issue tracking, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
- Assist with commissioning activities and provide field feedback to improve service proposals and documentation.
- Share operational insights to enhance data collection, reporting, dashboards, and product improvements.
- Support continuous improvement of service processes and manage spare‑parts procurement using internal tools.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, safe work practices, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
Required profile
- Technical high‑school diploma (electrical, mechanical, electronic or similar).
- Minimum 2 years experience as an electrical tester or maintenance technician.
- Hands‑on experience or basic knowledge of PLC testing, programming or coding.
- Strong sense of responsibility for health, safety and site procedures.
- Native‑level English proficiency (mandatory).
- Nice to have: experience with BESS, solar or wind plant commissioning/maintenance; familiarity with industrial or energy‑sector environments; ability to work in international, multidisciplinary teams.
