On-site IT Support Engineer – £35,000

About the role

We are looking for a proactive on‑site IT Support Engineer to join a well‑established IT services provider and support a medium‑sized client in Central London. You will be the dedicated point of contact for end‑users, delivering first‑ and second‑line support and ensuring a smooth IT experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end‑users.
• Diagnose, resolve and document hardware and software issues.
• Assist with installations, configuration and troubleshooting of network, hardware and software.
• Escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and system configurations.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Customer‑first attitude with a commitment to outstanding service.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure.
• Experience in a standalone 1st/2nd line support role for an SME (up to ~200 users).
