One-to-One Tutor – Part‑time, Temporary – Warrington

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking compassionate tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for young people in Warrington who face barriers to mainstream education. This part‑time, temporary position focuses on rebuilding confidence and re‑engaging learners through tailored support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one tuition sessions tailored to each learner’s needs.
• Adapt teaching methods for pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety or other additional needs.
• Support learners working towards GCSEs, Functional Skills or personal development goals.
• Maintain accurate records of session content and progress.
• Collaborate with local authorities, schools and families to ensure a cohesive support plan.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year tutoring or teaching experience.
• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of barriers to learning and ability to personalise instruction.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo DBS checks.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver engaging 1:1 learning sessions.
• Effective communication with learners, families and professionals.
• Organisational skills for flexible daytime scheduling.
