Online Tutor - GCSE, IGCSE & A-Level (All Subjects)

About the role

Nexus Academy UK is a premium online tutoring company offering 1-to-1 GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level lessons to students across the UK. It is expanding its team and is looking for tutors across all subjects, including Maths, Sciences, Humanities, Languages and Business. The role is fully remote and part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live, one-to-one online lessons tailored to the student's exam board, level and goals
• Plan lessons around the student's exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, CIE) and learning needs
• Log every lesson accurately through the tutor portal
• Maintain a professional, encouraging relationship with students and parents
• Attend the onboarding training session

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge to GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level standard in the subject(s) applied for
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience; online experience is a plus
• Familiarity with UK curricula and exam boards
• Excellent spoken English and clear communication skills
• Reliable internet connection, a laptop and a quiet teaching space
• Availability during UK after-school hours (roughly 4-9 pm UK time)

Nice to have

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Degree in the subject taught
• Experience teaching both GCSE and A-Level
