Operational Buyer – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an Operational Buyer to join Hilti’s procurement team on a fixed‑term basis, supporting end‑to‑end sourcing across the Northern Europe region. The role focuses on delivering efficient, compliant purchasing activities while partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full sourcing cycles – from purchase requisitions and orders to goods receipt and KPI tracking.
• Utilise SAP, Ariba Guided Buying and contract‑management tools to process transactions.
• Support category‑strategy implementation and drive sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.
• Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to manage complex procurement tasks.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, Signature Guidelines and internal controls.
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers as a business partner.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects and category initiatives.

Required profile

• Knowledge of sourcing and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
• Proficiency with SAP and Ariba Guided Buying.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
• High attention to compliance, process accuracy and reporting.
• Track record of execution excellence.
• Relevant degree preferred.
