Operational Finance Business Partner – Liverpool

About the role

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join a high‑performing finance team in Liverpool as an Operational Finance Business Partner. Reporting to a senior finance lead, you will act as the trusted finance partner for operational leaders, providing insight, challenge and support to drive commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for senior operational stakeholders.
• Produce and interpret management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
• Deliver clear financial insight, KPI analysis and performance reporting.
• Support rolling forecasts, long‑range planning and annual budgeting cycles.
• Build and maintain financial models to aid decision‑making.
• Review P&L performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and processes.

Required profile

• Full professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proven ability to business partner and influence senior, non‑finance stakeholders.
• Proactive and adaptable mindset in a fast‑moving environment.
• Confidence working to deadlines with multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools (desirable).
