Operational Finance Support

About the role

This is a full‑time Operational Finance Support position within Cygnet’s growing finance team. You will work hybrid – two days a week on site in the North West/North East region and the remainder remotely – supporting site administrators and ensuring finance processes run smoothly across multiple hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Train and support new and existing site administrators on finance‑related tasks.
• Ensure accurate information is supplied to Accounts Receivable and payroll systems.
• Guide sites in following purchase ledger policies and reconciling petty cash and service‑user monies.
• Maintain 100 % audit compliance and monitor KPI performance.
• Liaise with finance functions and internal audit to identify further training needs.
• Implement and update working practices and policies for efficiency.
• Visit sites in person, facilitate remote and on‑site meetings, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support adoption of new finance systems and processes.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability (37.5 hrs/week) and a valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across sites in the North West and North East.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with hospitals and finance teams.
• Ability to deliver training, monitor KPIs and ensure compliance.
