Operational Safety Coordinator – Hybrid (London)

About the role

The Operational Safety Coordinator will support the delivery of safety programmes for a leading electricity and gas network body in the UK and Ireland. Working from the London Bridge office on a hybrid basis, you will liaise with senior stakeholders, regulators and industry partners to drive safety performance and best‑practice initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate industry committees end‑to‑end, preparing agendas, papers and meeting minutes.
• Track actions, ensure follow‑up and delivery of commitments.
• Organise workshops, events and industry forums.
• Support operational and public safety programme delivery.
• Assist with industry campaigns, stakeholder engagement and digital communications.
• Maintain website content and produce reports, briefings and updates for stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, regulators and policymakers.

Required profile

• Proactive, highly organised individual with 3‑5 years experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure or a regulated sector.
• Experience providing coordination, project or secretariat support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Desirable: NEBOSH certification, knowledge of electrical or operational safety principles and UK regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
