Operational & Technical Lead - Pensions

About the role

Gallagher Benefit Services is seeking an Operational & Technical Lead to head its Operational Assurance, Complaints and Technical Enablement function for pension administration. You will ensure services are accurate, consistent and meet regulatory and client expectations while supporting growth in a complex regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run a proactive audit and assurance framework to identify risks early and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee complaints management, guaranteeing fair and consistent case handling.
• Translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into practical operational actions.
• Provide technical oversight of processes and communications to maintain high standards.
• Develop clear, client‑friendly updates on regulatory changes.
• Lead, develop and motivate a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strengthen governance, reporting and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in pension administration.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams in assurance, complaints or technical functions.
• Strong understanding of governance, audit frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and create practical solutions.
• Analytical, data‑driven problem‑solver with excellent stakeholder management.
• Focus on improving customer experience and driving continuous improvement.
