Operational Trainer

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an Operational Trainer to join the Currys site in Bristol. You will be part of the Learning, Development and Training team, delivering high‑quality material handling equipment (MHE) training and supporting the continuous development of colleagues on the Currys contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging MHE training that meets diverse learning styles and business needs.
• Ensure all staff are trained and signed off against MHE Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) in line with legal requirements.
• Support site training plans, inductions and ongoing development for new and existing employees.
• Monitor, record and maintain training data, including MHE observations and compliance tracking.

Required profile

• Experience operating Reach Trucks (clamps and forks), Counterbalance forklifts (minimum 6 months) and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT).
• Strong communication skills with a confident, professional and approachable style.
• Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and maintain high attention to detail.
• Safety‑first mindset with a genuine passion for training and team success.
