Operational Trainer – MHE Training

About the role

We are seeking an Operational Trainer to join our Learning, Development and Training team at the Currys site in Bristol. You will deliver high‑quality material handling equipment (MHE) training and support the continuous development of colleagues on the Currys contract, ensuring compliance with operational, legal and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging MHE training tailored to different learning styles and business needs.
• Ensure all staff are trained and signed off against the MHE Safe System of Work (SSOW) in line with legal requirements.
• Support site training plans, inductions and ongoing development for new and existing colleagues.
• Monitor, record and maintain training data, including MHE observations and compliance tracking.

Required profile

• Experience operating Reach Trucks (clamps and forks), Counterbalance trucks (minimum 6 months) and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT).
• Strong communication skills with a confident, professional and approachable style.
• Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and maintain high attention to detail.
• Safety‑first mindset with a genuine passion for training, development and team success.
