Operations Assistant - Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Operations Assistant to help deliver high‑quality catering, hospitality, conferencing and event services at our historic cricket venue. You will work closely with the Event Operations Manager and the wider catering team to ensure every room and event space is set up, run and turned around to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up rooms and event spaces according to function sheets, event briefs and manager instructions.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linen, staging, catering stations and other furniture as required.
• Maintain clean, tidy and presentable environments before guests arrive.
• Support room turnarounds between events, meetings, hospitality sittings and match‑day operations.
• Clear down rooms after events and restore required layouts.
• Assist with the movement of food, beverages, stock, equipment and catering supplies across the venue.
• Support the catering team with preparation areas, service points and back‑of‑house requirements.
• Handle catering equipment safely and store it correctly after use.
• Help uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation in all hospitality areas.

Required profile

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and match days.
• Attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to setting up and breaking down events.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with multiple departments.
