Operations Director – Manufacturing & Industrial

About the role

This senior position offers full ownership of operational performance for a well‑established UK manufacturer. You will work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to drive productivity, cost efficiency and long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and day‑to‑day operations.
• Lead productivity, efficiency and cost‑control initiatives.
• Develop and mentor operational teams to achieve high performance standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business growth alongside senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role (Operations Director, Head of Operations or similar).
• Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Track record of improving operational performance, efficiency and output.
• Effective leadership and people‑development skills.
