Operations Graduate

About the role

Alfred H Knight is seeking an Operations Graduate to join its UK Head Office in Prescot, Liverpool. You will follow a structured development pathway gaining experience in operations, technical knowledge, commercial activities and data analysis while supporting a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries from Client Services, Head of Operations, Legal, Technical Department and local offices, covering investigations, client complaints, legal queries and operational advice.
• Contribute to longer‑term projects that improve operational processes.
• Support UK and overseas offices in sample preparation facilities, warehouses, ports, checkpoints, shipping yards and related sites.
• Assist with data analysis and reporting as required.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a STEM subject such as Geology, Metallurgy, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
• Previous professional work experience or internship in a commercial environment (desired but not essential).
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on short notice, including medium‑to‑long‑term assignments.
