Operations Manager - Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join a well‑established independent insurance brokerage in the North West. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational efficiency across the commercial broking team and become the go‑to expert for our core systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the broking function, ensuring smooth workflow and service delivery.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers and Executives.
• Act as the “super‑user” for the Acturis platform, promoting best practice and system efficiencies.
• Identify, design and implement process improvements across the business.
• Support senior leadership with strategic and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven operational and technical experience within an insurance brokerage.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude with a hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Resilient, dependable and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Acturis (essential).

What we offer

• Salary between £55,000 and £70,000, dependent on experience.
