Operations Manager – Financial Advisors

About the role

Join a respected Chartered financial planning firm in the City of London as an Operations Manager. You will work closely with the Directors to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations across finance, compliance, HR, technology and business administration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and reconcile income in the CRM system.
• Prepare management and company accounts, manage monthly payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Administer P11D, introducer payments and Professional Indemnity Insurance renewals.
• Manage FCA and regulatory reporting, including GABRIEL submissions and appointed representative compliance.
• Lead the Training & Competence Scheme, monitor adviser file reviews and maintain CPD records.
• Coordinate recruitment, employment contracts, staff handbook and annual performance reviews.
• Handle IT hardware, software, cyber‑security and third‑party technology platforms.
• Organise board, investment and proposition committee meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations management within financial services or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations, compliance reporting and professional indemnity requirements.
• Ability to manage finance, payroll and HR processes end‑to‑end.
• Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to work with senior leadership.
