Operations Manager – Insurance Reinstatement & Restoration

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a growing team of Contracts Managers and tradespeople delivering property insurance reinstatement and restoration projects across the South West. The role combines staff leadership, operational oversight and client interaction in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of approximately 25 staff, including Contracts Managers, trades and administration personnel.
• Oversee work‑in‑progress, ensuring projects are scheduled, profitable and meet quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and maintain Health & Safety standards.
• Attend customer reviews, audits and support tender preparation.
• Drive regional business growth through new opportunities and effective KPI/SLA management.
• Recruit staff and subcontractors as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the insurance property repairs sector, preferably reinstatement or restoration.
• Strong background in staff and operational management, including cost control and profitability.
• Ability to manage resources, third‑party relationships and meet KPI/SLA targets.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West.

What we offer

• Salary between £60,000 and £65,000 per year.
• Car allowance of £500 per month.
• 40‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
