Operations Manager

About the role

The client is a well‑established construction company seeking an Operations Manager to support day‑to‑day activities. This full‑time, office‑based role involves coordinating staff diaries, managing fleet logistics and ensuring smooth operational flow across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff diaries, co‑ordinate deliveries and engineering works.
• Order and receive spare parts, reading parts manuals to ensure correct items are sourced.
• Liaise with customers by phone, taking orders or directing issues to the appropriate person.
• Oversee weekly schedules for rental fleet logistics and sales equipment deliveries.
• Maintain a small vehicle fleet, handling servicing, MOT, tax and related administration.
• Perform general operational tasks to keep the company running efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in general operations management or administrative duties.
• Familiarity with construction environments is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn company‑specific software such as Syrinx rental and Sage Accounts.
