Operations Manager – Maternity Cover

About the role

Reed is looking for an Operations Manager to join a project‑build team on a maternity‑cover basis (9‑12 months) starting October 2026. Based in SW18, London, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the highest quality standards while managing both office and on‑site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Managers during planning to define operational requirements.
• Lead weekly internal operations meetings, capture needs and resolve issues before project start.
• Maintain the Team Track system with current, future and pipeline projects, adjusting for unplanned resourcing.
• Coordinate booking of internal and freelance crew, prepare detailed crew packs and ensure all licences are in place.
• Negotiate rates and draft contracts with UK and global crewing agencies.
• Approve invoices for freelance crew and partner agencies in partnership with Finance and Project Management.
• Manage UK and international site transport logistics, negotiating with haulage providers to secure timely collections and deliveries.
• Arrange plant, accommodation and flight bookings, securing best value and long‑term partnerships.
• Support Project Managers with administrative tasks such as crew licences and accreditation.

Required profile

• Proven operations experience in a similar industry.
• Strong multitasking ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Highly organised with superior time‑management and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work both in the office and on‑site.
