Operations Manager – Property Insurance Reinstatement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a growing team of Contracts Managers and trades delivering property insurance reinstatement and restoration projects across the South West region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 25 staff, including Contracts Managers, tradespeople and an administration group.
• Proactively manage work‑in‑progress, ensuring projects are scheduled, profit margins are met and quality standards are upheld.
• Oversee compliance with CDM regulations and maintain Health & Safety standards.
• Participate in customer reviews, audits and tender processes to support regional business growth.
• Manage large, complex claim programmes, monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
• Investigate and resolve client complaints.
• Recruit staff and subcontractors as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the insurance property repairs sector, preferably in reinstatement or restoration.
• Strong staff and operational management background, including resource, cost and profitability control.
• Ability to manage third‑party relationships and meet KPI/SLA targets.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the designated postcode areas.

What we offer

• Salary between £60,000 and £65,000 per year.
• Car allowance of £500 per month.
• 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
