Operations Manager – Recruitment Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Operations function of a fast‑paced recruitment business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant day‑to‑day operations while supporting overall business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Operations Team, covering HR, compliance, office management and contractor onboarding.
• Oversee financial reporting, supplier management and third‑party service delivery.
• Maintain alignment with legislation and industry standards to ensure full compliance.
• Lead internal and external recruitment activities and coordinate onboarding processes.
• Drive engagement initiatives such as team‑building events and social activities.
• Own the CRM system, improve processes, and support the Sales team with reporting and best practices.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, minimizing business disruption.

• Detail‑oriented and commercially aware with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and ability to work across multiple functions.
• Experience in managing third‑party suppliers and enhancing service delivery.
• Comfortable in a collaborative environment and able to influence continuous improvement.
