Operations Placement – Filton Plant (12.5 months)

About the role

This 12.5‑month placement is based at Airbus’ Filton Plant in Bristol. You will support the Head of Production in delivering key initiatives that improve operational performance across the wing manufacturing lines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day‑to‑day shop‑floor activities, rate changes and operator involvement schemes.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (procurement, logistics, quality, design) to improve production efficiencies and support safety projects.
• Support the rollout of digital tracking tools for manufacturing, helping to up‑skill the workforce on digital solutions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field or equivalent.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, with confidence to lead sessions.
• Interest in coding, digital tools and self‑development.
• Willingness to work in an open, collaborative environment.

What we offer
