Operations Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Stafford. This hands‑on role combines direct manufacturing duties with day‑to‑day leadership of the Friday‑to‑Monday shift, ensuring operational targets, quality standards and safety expectations are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full scope of Manufacturing Team Member duties while actively supporting production activities.
• Manage people and resources to meet delivery targets, quality standards and safety expectations.
• Lead daily Flash 5 briefings to align the team on priorities and responsibilities.
• Monitor operational performance, production KPIs and throughput targets.
• Act as escalation point for technical, machinery or operational concerns and raise support tickets.
• Ensure accurate completion of production records, work order closures and non‑conformance logs.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and support to manufacturing team members.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability and inclusion.
• Liaise with supporting departments to maintain operational efficiency and act as a technical subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Previous experience in a team‑leadership, supervisory or senior operator role.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and root‑cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate manufacturing activities and achieve operational KPIs.
• Experience managing production records, quality documentation and operational reporting.
• Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
