Operations Technician – Fine Arts Logistics

About the role

Freightserve is seeking Operations Technicians to support its specialist fine‑arts freight forwarding business. You will work across warehouse and road operations, handling high‑value artwork, furniture and decorative items for national and international shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Install interior designs and handle fine‑art and luxury items with white‑glove care.
• Pack and prepare items to museum and international shipping standards.
• Produce condition reports and manage loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing directly with clients.
• Travel regularly across the UK and occasionally overseas.

Required profile

• Experience in fine‑art logistics, luxury interiors, specialist removals or museum handling.
• Excellent attention to detail and a professional manner.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively as part of a team.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £30,000 and £37,000 per year.
• Overtime rates: 1.25× on weekdays, 1.5× on Saturdays, 2× on Sundays & bank holidays.
• Full‑time hours (07:00‑16:00 or 08:00‑17:00, Monday‑Friday).
