Ophthalmic Scrub Practitioner

About the role

The Ophthalmic Scrub Practitioner will join the busy Ophthalmology Theatre Team at The Lodge, The Yorkshire Clinic in Bingley. Working 37.5 hours per week, you will provide high‑quality planned care and support clinical procedures for ophthalmic patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality planned care for patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures.
• Provide scrub assistance and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
• Support the organisation and management of care provision within the department.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and evidence‑based practice.
• Assist in the delivery of patient care and promote patient dignity and privacy.

Required profile

• Registered with the NMC (Nursing) or HCPC (ODP).
• Qualified nursing or operating department practitioner credential.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Experience in ophthalmology procedures is advantageous, with training provided if needed.
