Ops Resilience and Continuity Lead – 3‑Month Fixed‑Term (Remote)

About the role

This 3‑month fixed‑term position supports a leading household insurer during a period of major change and integration. Reporting directly to senior executives, you will own the operational resilience, business continuity and crisis‑management programmes, ensuring the organisation can withstand and recover from disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the operational resilience framework, keeping service impact tolerances up‑to‑date.
• Monitor, analyse and report on resilience risks, tracking remediation progress against agreed targets.
• Design and execute scenario‑testing exercises to pressure‑test critical services and processes.
• Chair resilience forums, providing concise updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Own the business continuity and crisis‑management frameworks, including plan creation, incident preparedness and response coordination.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on resilience for change initiatives and ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven track record in operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and influence at executive level.
• Hands‑on experience building resilience frameworks, policies and governance structures.
• Strong understanding of current operational resilience regulations and best practices.
• Immediate availability, UK citizenship and willingness to travel within the UK as required.
