About the role

We are seeking a passionate, customer‑focused Optical Assistant to join a high‑end independent practice in Stanmore. You will work in a friendly team, providing eye‑care services and supporting the optometrist while delivering an excellent experience for our clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver outstanding service throughout their visit.
• Perform pre‑screening eye health checks.
• Hand over patients smoothly to the optometrist.
• Dispense glasses and advise on lens options.
• Fit and repair spectacles.
• Teach customers how to use contact lenses.
• Manage day‑to‑day administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an optical setting.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy practice.

Required skills

• Optical dispensing.
