About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our modern independent optical store in Milton Keynes. You will work in a friendly team delivering high‑quality eye‑care services to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide outstanding service.
- Carry out pre‑screening eye health checks.
- Hand over patients smoothly to the optometrist.
- Dispense glasses accurately and with care.
- Fit and repair spectacles.
- Teach customers how to handle and care for contact lenses.
- Perform day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Previous experience working in an optical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy retail setting.
Required skills
- Glasses dispensing
- Spectacle fitting and repair
- Contact lens handling and care
What we offer
- Competitive salary up to £28,000 per year.
