About the role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our Whitstable store. You will welcome customers, support them through their eye‑care journey and develop your skills alongside experienced opticians and technicians.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
- Provide basic optical advice and help with frame and lens selection.
- Support opticians during eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
- Maintain a clean and organised retail environment.
- Process sales transactions and manage stock levels.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an optical or fast‑paced customer service setting.
- Passion for eye‑care and willingness to learn.
- Friendly, reliable and able to work well in a team.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of optical terminology.
What we offer
- £12.00 – £12.91 per hour, dependent on experience.
- 40‑hour weekly contract.
