About the role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Branch Manager to lead a modern independent practice in Hoddesdon. You will be responsible for delivering a premium in‑store experience while driving commercial growth and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the optical practice.
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the patient journey.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team to reach their full potential.
• Identify and act on opportunities to grow branch performance.
• Support staff training, engagement and continuous development.
• Manage administration, compliance and operational procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and wider network.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming and relaxed practice environment.

Required profile

• Previous management experience within an optical practice.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially aware with a passion for customer service.
• Confident, organised and self‑motivated.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
