Optical Manager (Job Share)

About the role

As an Optical Manager on a job‑share basis at Asda, you will lead a busy optical department, ensuring high‑quality patient care and smooth store operations. You will work closely with optometrists and the wider Asda network to deliver a fixed‑price, no‑up‑sell service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of optometrists and optical assistants, providing coaching and development.
• Oversee compliance processes, sales forecasting, and department targets.
• Handle customer queries and ensure excellent patient service.
• Maintain clinic management and shop‑floor processes to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with Area Managers and Home Office teams for clinical support.

Required profile

• Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
• On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements.
• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced optical environment.
• Organised with strong time‑management skills.
