Optometrist – Flexible Full‑time/Part‑time in Folkestone

About the role

Specsavers is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join its West Park Farm store in Folkestone. The role offers fully flexible full‑time or part‑time contracts tailored to your personal needs, including school‑hour patterns and no‑weekend options.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe spectacles or contact lenses.
• Utilise advanced clinical equipment such as OCT, Nidek Phoropters and Henson 9000 Visual Field Screener.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high standards of patient care.
• Supervise and mentor pre‑registration trainees where applicable.
• Participate in team training and store development activities.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Open to both newly qualified and experienced optometrists.
• Passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
• Flexible and able to adapt to varied working patterns.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
• Experience using Nidek Phoropters.
• Familiarity with Henson 9000 Visual Field Screener.
