About the role

Specsavers is seeking a motivated Optometrist to join its well‑established store in Chandler's Ford. Whether you are newly qualified or have several years of experience, you will work alongside a friendly team of opticians and technicians, delivering high‑quality eye and hearing care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses.
• Provide hearing assessments in the dedicated hearing care room.
• Utilise innovative diagnostic equipment and stay up‑to‑date with clinical best practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with GOC regulations.
• Collaborate with store staff to create a welcoming environment for customers.

Required profile

• Registered optometrist with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Ability to work effectively in a busy retail setting.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in conducting standard optometric examinations.
• Familiarity with modern eye‑testing equipment.
• Understanding of hearing assessment procedures.
