Optometrist – Full/Part Time – £65,000 per year

About the role

Join Specsavers in Braintree as an Optometrist delivering high‑standard eye examinations and contact lens services. You will work closely with the store team to provide clinical care while supporting business objectives and creating a welcoming environment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses.
• Provide contact lens fitting and after‑care advice.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with GOC regulations.
• Collaborate with retail staff to ensure seamless customer service.
• Contribute to store performance targets and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Registered member of the General Optical Council (GOC) and kept up‑to‑date.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• Team‑oriented with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in conducting eye examinations.
• Knowledge of contact lens fitting procedures.
• Familiarity with optical dispensing equipment.
