Optometrist – Full/Part Time – £80k package

About the role

Specsavers in Maidstone is seeking a motivated Optometrist to join a thriving team in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art store. The position is available on either a full‑time or part‑time basis, with the flexibility to work alternate Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using advanced clinical equipment.
• Provide accurate prescriptions for glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
• Collaborate with contact‑lens and dispensing opticians, optical assistants, and clinical technicians to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate optical test rooms and specialised devices.
• Participate in professional development programmes, including glaucoma, medical retina and IP certifications.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Open to newly qualified graduates as well as experienced practitioners.
• Enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality eye care and advancing clinical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems.
• Experience using Nidek Phoropters.
• Familiarity with Zeiss Clarus ultra‑widefield camera.
