Optometrist – Full/Part Time – Royal Wootton Bassett

About the role

Specsavers is seeking a GOC‑registered Optometrist to join its Royal Wootton Bassett store. You will deliver high‑quality eye examinations, support a busy team and help maintain the store’s reputation for excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye tests and dispense appropriate corrective lenses.
• Utilise modern clinical equipment, including OCT, to assess eye health.
• Manage patient flow across three test rooms, maintaining average testing times of 20‑25 minutes.
• Work collaboratively with two other optometrists, dispensing opticians and the store manager.
• Cover one weekend day per week as part of the rota.

Required profile

• Qualified and GOC‑registered Optometrist.
• Strong clinical judgment and a hands‑on approach.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to build rapport with colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment.
