Optometrist – Full‑time role in South West England

About the role
Specsavers is seeking a motivated optometrist to join its busy high‑street store in South West England. Whether you are newly qualified or have several years of experience, you will deliver comprehensive eye‑care services in a modern, refurbished environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct full eye examinations using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic equipment.
- Prescribe and dispense spectacles and contact lenses.
- Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions, referring complex cases as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with GOC standards.
- Collaborate with a team of opticians and technicians to provide seamless service.
Required profile
- Qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council.
- Passionate about delivering high‑quality eye care and patient education.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented retail setting.
Required skills
- OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)
- Fundus photography
- Autorefraction
- NCT (Non‑Contact Tonometry)
What we offer
- Competitive salary up to £70,000 per year.
