Optometrist – Full‑time, Swindon

About the role
As an Optometrist at Asda Opticians in Swindon you will deliver high‑quality eye care to our customers, performing examinations and supporting the wider optical team. The role combines clinical work with opportunities for professional development within a retail healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including contact lens and extended service assessments.
- Work closely with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach colleagues.
- Maintain departmental standards and support NHS‑linked service contracts.
- Participate in continuous professional development and acquire additional accreditations as needed.
- Provide expert clinical advice to customers and team members.
Required profile
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
- Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and service.
