About the role
Specsavers in Gillingham is seeking a motivated Optometrist to join a community‑focused team. The position is open to both newly qualified and experienced professionals registered with the GOC, offering a supportive environment with state‑of‑the‑art clinical equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using the latest diagnostic tools.
- Participate in local NHS schemes such as MECS, Repeat IOP and Post‑Op Cataract assessments.
- Collaborate with Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians, Contact Lens Opticians and the weekly audiology team.
- Contribute to clinical development programmes, including enhanced optical services and postgraduate qualifications.
Required profile
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Nidek Retina DUO II OCT.
- Experience using Nidek and Frost Phoropters.
- Ability to operate Nidek Tonoref III tonometer.
