Optometrist – Hempstead Valley (Full‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

Vision Express is seeking a qualified optometrist to join its newly refitted Hempstead Valley store. You will work in a modern environment equipped with OCT and auto‑phoropter technology, delivering high‑quality eye care to a busy retail clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using OCT imaging and auto‑phoropters.
• Provide accurate diagnoses and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses or treatments.
• Maintain patient records in line with GOC standards.
• Collaborate with a high‑performing team of 20 staff to achieve store targets.
• Participate in the TG Pool to pick up additional shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Strong clinical expertise and a patient‑focused approach.
• Ability to work full‑time on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OCT imaging equipment.
• Experience operating auto‑phoropters.

• Salary up to £79,000 per annum (based on experience).
