Optometrist

About the role

We are looking for a qualified, GOC‑registered Optometrist to join our Honiton store and deliver high‑quality eye care to our customers. You will work in a friendly, community‑focused environment, using the latest clinical equipment to provide comprehensive eye examinations and advice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess visual needs.
• Advise customers on corrective lenses, contact lenses and eye‑health solutions.
• Operate and maintain modern optometric test equipment across five test rooms.
• Ensure compliance with GOC standards and store health‑and‑safety policies.
• Collaborate with the 25‑member team to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Qualified Optometrist with current GOC registration.
• Passionate about providing excellent eye care.
• Ability to work flexibly in full‑time or part‑time patterns.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.

• Interpret test results and prescribe appropriate lenses.
