Optometrist Store Manager – Amesbury

About the role

Join Vision Express as an Optometrist Store Manager and combine your clinical expertise with business leadership. Based in Amesbury, you will continue delivering eye examinations while driving the commercial success of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the store’s day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Manage and develop the optometry team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive sales performance, meet targets and contribute to the store’s profitability.
• Oversee inventory, merchandising and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Utilise the fully equipped test room (OCT and Phoropter) to deliver accurate eye assessments.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist with a valid registration.
• Proven experience in a retail or clinical setting, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to meet performance targets.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OCT equipment.
• Proficiency with Phoropter equipment.

What we offer

• Salary up to £79,000 per year, plus performance‑based bonuses.
