Optometrist – Up to £65k + Golden Hello

About the role

Specsavers in Alton is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join a friendly team of 18. You will deliver high‑quality eye examinations and contribute to the store’s management and patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using 25‑minute test slots.
• Provide accurate prescriptions and advice on eyewear and contact lenses.
• Operate and maintain the latest clinical equipment, including OCT.
• Ensure excellent patient experience and uphold store standards.
• Participate in store management activities and support junior staff.
• Maintain CPD records and engage in professional development programmes.

Required profile

• GOC‑registered Optometrist (newly qualified or experienced).
• Strong work ethic, confidence and willingness to succeed.
• Passion for patient care in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Ability to go the extra mile for customers and motivate colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment.
