Specsavers in Galashiels seeks a dedicated Optometrist to become the Optometry Director and Store Partner. You will lead the optical department, shape the team and drive business growth while delivering excellent patient care in a beautiful rural setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the optometry team and oversee day‑to‑day store operations.
• Advise on training requirements and introduce new clinical specialisms.
• Maintain high standards of patient experience and clinical quality.

Required profile

• Qualified Optometrist with a passion for patient care.
• Experience in leading or managing an optical team.
• Strong commitment to community service and business development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) technology.
• Contact lens fitting expertise.
• Knowledge of diabetic retinal screening procedures.
• Familiarity with audiology services and hearing care.
