Order Management Systems Technical BA / Implementation Lead

About the role

This is a 12‑month contract position (inside IR35) based in London with a hybrid working model – four days onsite per week. The role sits within the investment‑banking sector and focuses on delivering Order Management System (OMS) solutions for a buy‑side client.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical business analysis for OMS implementations, migrations and integrations with Execution Management Systems.
• Produce detailed requirements documentation and ensure alignment with FIX protocol and end‑to‑end trade workflow.
• Manage a small delivery team, coordinate vendors and maintain the project backlog using JIRA, Scrum and Agile practices.
• Oversee trade and market data management, including SQL database design and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, business and operations teams to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience as a technical business analyst on buy‑side front‑office projects.
• Strong knowledge of equities and/or fixed‑income asset classes and trading workflows.
• Proven track record of delivering OMS projects (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Flextrade, Fidessa, TS Imagine).
• Hands‑on experience with FIX protocol, data management and system integrations.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
