Organisational & Leadership Development Manager

About the role

As the Organisational & Leadership Development Manager you will shape how Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue builds capability, strengthens culture and supports its people to thrive. Working from Brigade Headquarters, you will translate strategic priorities into practical learning and development solutions that prepare the service for future challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate organisational development, learning and leadership programmes aligned with service priorities.
• Build workforce capability, embed a coaching culture and support succession planning.
• Create clear development pathways that enable staff to perform at their best.
• Use workforce data, insight and engagement feedback to identify priorities and deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Oversee talent development, inclusion, equality and culture initiatives, ensuring they are evidence‑based and continuously improved.

Required profile

• Proven track record in organisational development, learning, leadership development or culture change within a complex organisation.
• Experience designing and delivering leadership programmes and development interventions that improve capability and performance.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, influencing and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse workforce insight, training needs and evaluation data to shape priorities and demonstrate impact.
