OT Security Consultant – Remote, UK Client Site Travel

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist cyber security consultancy that is expanding its Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) service line. The OT Security Consultant will lead assessments across SCADA and live operational environments while shaping methodology, tooling and future practice direction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct OT/ICS security assessments and SCADA environment reviews.
• Apply IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82 and NCSC CAF frameworks to client sites.
• Perform IT/OT convergence, network segmentation and remote‑access reviews.
• Execute non‑disruptive OT‑aware vulnerability assessments.
• Produce technical reports and brief senior stakeholders.
• Support the development and growth of the OT security service line.

Required profile

• Proven delivery experience in OT/ICS security projects.
• Strong knowledge of OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, PROFINET, PLCs, RTUs and HMIs.
• Experience working in live plant, industrial or safety‑critical environments.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and report writing skills.
• CISSP or GICSP certification (preferred).
• UK right to work and a full driving licence with willingness to travel.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent contract with a salary range £65,000‑£75,000 per year.
