Outreach Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Outreach Support Worker to help young people transition to independent living across the Surrey and Hampshire area. You will work independently with a caseload while receiving guidance from an experienced, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Support young people to develop independence and essential life skills.
• Deliver structured key‑work sessions covering budgeting, education, and tenancy support.
• Assist with access to education, training, and local college programmes.
• Promote self‑esteem, resilience and personal responsibility.
• Use restorative approaches to encourage positive behaviour change.
• Help young people manage time and engage in constructive activities.
• Signpost to local services such as housing, health, sexual health and recreation.
• Maintain accurate records, outcome tracking and reports (including Outcomes Star).
• Collaborate with external agencies, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing and positive risk management at all times.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £25,000 – £26,000 per annum (pro rata for part‑time).
• £1,200 annual car allowance plus mileage.
• Full‑time or part‑time permanent contract.
• Community‑based role with a supportive team.
