Outreach & Sustainment Officer

About the role

Corus Consultancy is looking for a compassionate Outreach & Sustainment Officer to work across Waltham Forest. You will engage directly with people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness, providing trauma‑informed support and helping them transition into stable housing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct proactive outreach visits, perform welfare checks and assess individual needs.
• Refer service users to appropriate housing, health, welfare and specialist support services.
• Deliver tenancy sustainment assistance once individuals move into temporary accommodation, supported housing or independent living.
• Support clients in settling into new homes, building independence and accessing essential services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated, person‑centred interventions.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and work to reduce risk and harm.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to helping vulnerable populations, especially those experiencing rough sleeping.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and homelessness pathways.
• Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong partnership relationships.
• Excellent communication and assessment skills.
