Outreach Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role in Chester

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Outreach Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for children and young people in Chester. The role supports learners who are unable to access mainstream education, need alternative provision, or require additional encouragement to re‑engage with learning.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored one‑to‑one tuition sessions based on each learner’s needs.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students to foster confidence and progress.
- Adapt teaching strategies for learners with SEND, SEMH or disengagement issues.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress reports.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Experience working with learners who have SEND, SEMH or are disengaged from education.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Strong communication and behaviour‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Ability to design and deliver personalised learning plans.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and DBS requirements.
